Florence and all Museums reopening

After a long period of lockdown due to the pandemic, museums in Florence and in the other yellow zones of Italy can gradually reopen their doors! Unlike last year, places of interest will be open also on weekends, on a reservation basis to limit numbers. Museums guarantee all the measures and safety precautions prescribed by law.On April 27th Boboli Gardens will reopen daily, while we have to wait until May 4th to visit again Uffizi and Palazzo Pitti. The National Museum of Bargello, Medici Chapels and Palazzo Davanzati will open to the public from May 3rd. For the Civic Museums (among them Palazzo Vecchio Museum, Brancacci Chapel and Museo Novecento) the opening day will be April 28th.Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and the Dome have already opened since April 26th, while Giotto Tower and the Opera del Duomo Museum are expected to reopen on May 1st. To visit the Baptistery, we have to wait some more days. Some museums such as Casa di Dante, Bardini Garden, Salvatore Ferragamo, Santo Spirito (Michelangelo’s Crucifix) already opened their doors, but many more are going to open in the next days…
